SPi Global helps a leading provider of digital learning services deliver on their promise
The client wanted to become a more comprehensive player in the field of education by expanding and offering a wider range of learning products and services
High school and college students depend on this provider for learning support. Colleges, Tutors and Professors have also been engaging with this educational hub which connects tools and resources with students who have educational and career goals to achieve.
To achieve the client’s expansion goals, there were many tasks to complete – from increasing the number of titles available for rent, to offering tutorial services, to developing reviewers, exercises and solution files and many other system fixes.
A multitude of solutions to help the client expand its offerings
The following solutions were delivered by SPi:
• HTML5 and quality audit services: Textbooks of exercises and solutions were converted from PDF or Word files into the more dynamic HTML5 format. This service was agreed to be done with or without the scanning of inputs.
• More tutors: To enable the client’s live online tutorial services, SPi recruited, trained and oversaw tutors hired for the service.
• Q&A, answering and skipping questions: The client also made their entire archive of image-based Q&A questions more accessible to handicapped students. SPi was provided an excel file which contained the question IDs that needed to be transcribed. SPi transcribed the questions into a CSV file following the specs of the client. The questions were provided to SPi on a weekly basis and needed to be maintained at a specified capacity each week.
• QA on test questions: SPi ran a QA on test questions uploaded to the client’s platform to identify errors and missing components. The client then provided SPi with a checklist containing points to be covered during the QA process. SPi collected all the QA results in an Excel spreadsheet and shared the file with the client each time a test component was completed.
SPi Global helps their client expand its range of learning products and services
SPi was able to maintain the required capacity of 20,000 questions per week by the client. SPi was also able to convert 50 textbooks per month of exercises and solution files from PDF and Word file inputs into HTML5 format. The necessary amount of tutors were also recruited and trained on the client’s platform.
